Academic sources are sources found in libraries web that are accredited. Instructors like you to use these sources because they know that the information used from them is reliable. An example of a place where you could use non-academic sources is when you are trying to get someone’s opinion. Non-academic source to me means that it is not based on someone’s opinion but on facts.
